Learn more about my experience as a Graphic Artist Intern at Sweetwater this past summer:
Hi! My name is Tessa. I am a rising senior at Purdue University majoring in Visual Communications Design with minors in Art History and Business Management. I am the President of the American Institute of Graphic Arts at Purdue. I am also serving as the Vice President of Finance for the Lambda chapter of Delta Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc.
My design work spans a variety of disciplines, and I have completed projects in branding, poster design, social media graphics, page layout, vector work, and more. I am versed in design in both a print and digital context. I can work within a pre-existing brand identity or create my own. My work can range from fun and colorful to sleek and modern.
In the past, I have served as the recruitment and philanthropy chairs for Delta Phi Lambda. Through these positions, I have gained experience in coordination and management of event services. From 2022-23 I was also the Media Secretary for the Purdue Filipino Association. During this time I managed the promotion of our events through social media.
My passion for everything I dedicate myself to has led me to fulfill leadership positions in these organizations. Through my leadership, I hope to inspire the same passion in our members. I thrive in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to any situation. Though I can work independently or in a group, I thrive in a collaborative environment where everyone supports each other in our work.
After graduation, I hope to find a position that allows me to not only design but utilize my variety of management skills. My passionate nature will translate into my work, and I aspire to bring a positive attitude into the workplace.
