Ang Ating Kultura, Ang Ating Bahay (Our Culture is Our Home) is a virtual reality exhibition created in Spatial. The exhibition looks at aspects of Filipino culture such as geography, food, traditional dances, and music. For this exhibition, I created a subtle pattern on top of a tan color to mimic the embroidery in a barong, or a traditional top. This acts as the base for all of my walls. My color palette was limited to a medium brown, a dark brown, and a pale yellow. This allowed me to not only create a warm, homey atmosphere but let the images I used in my exhibition stand out. I used a video from the Purdue Filipino Association's annual Philippine Culture Night to promote an immersive experience to learn more about Filipino culture.
