One of many masterclasses hosted at Sweetwater, this guitar masterclass with Phil X–lead guitarist of Bon Jovi–is one of the biggest projects I had the honor of working on. Pulling browns from the photo, I also created a type treatment reminiscent of one of his pre-existing logos. I used a torn paper effect to add texture and match the grungy energy of the photo. This also created a clean space for me to put text. I wanted the image of Phil X to be the main focus, with his fun expression and finger pointing at the camera drawing the viewer in.
